Any good places in the Sunrise to Ft. Lauderdale area? Anyone been to Big Bear Brewing Company in Coral Springs recently?
Funky Buddha is not even 20-25 minutes from Big Bear so if your going there I would go to the Buddha as well! Big Bear closes early and Buddha is open late so you might want to go to Big Bear first but Buddha is a must if you are going to be that close!
Since you are out west you can probably stop at World of Beer in Coconut Creek. But I second TBCHopscotch032 about going to the Buddha.
i third the Buddha..if you make it to the Buddha your just a lilly pad hop to Coffee District and Tryst if you make it to them than your a stone throw away to the Hot Spot of Boynton Beach we are on the map with Due South Brewery..enjoy them all i know i sure do..
Are you looking for bottle shops? I actually like Moonshine Liquors in Coral Springs. Just yesterday I got 12 different excellent beers (singles) for $20. I haven't explored much in other cities, though. I went to Big Bear and didn't drink! I wasn't in the mood, but I'm sure I'll be back.
I've been to Big Bear and enjoyed it and will be back in Coral Springs next week visiting family. Luckily I got to sample some of Funky Budda's stuff at the Brewvival held up here and am looking forward to hitting up that place when I get down there. Where is World Beer located? Is it around the Casino or more North going toward Hillsborough BLVD?
Actually WOB is on the southwest corner of Wiles Rd and Lyons Road in the Promenade. I don't know why I forgot to give my opinion on Big Bear. Great food but a little on the expensive side. Some of the everyday stuff is solid. Do try any of the special stuff they have especially if it's the Imperial Stout or DIPA.
For decent beer bars in central to south-eastern Broward, there's Laser Wolf in Fort Lauderdale. The joint's kind of hipstery, and in a weird location, but they have 12-15 rotating craft taps ($5) and a ton of bottles. If you're looking for imports, PRL on Hollywood Blvd has a bunch.
