I would appreciate some recommendations on good places to order kegs in the general S. OC vicinity, on a fairly regular basis. Somewhere with helpful & knowledgeable staff, and decent prices. I've just about given up on Total Wine (both Laguna Hills & Tustin) due to poor service - no callbacks, lack of knowledge, orders not placed, delays in responses, etc. They have trouble looking up inventory and often don't know if something can be ordered until the distributor is back in the store, often times a week later (can't they lob them a call?). Nothing exotic, just seasonals & year-rounds. It's becoming a drawn out & difficult process. I'm familiar with O'Shea (who are very knowledgeable, but priced a bit higher), but could use some other sources as well. Any favorite shops/stores? Thanks in advance.
Hi times wine in costa mesa. the staff knows their stuff, not sure how competitive they are on keg price ( i dont order a lot of them) but if their regular beer prices are any indication i would say they should be good.
Thanks for the input guys. I wanted to follow up and share the positive actions on behalf of Total Wine. My original post caught the attention of someone at the home office, and after a direct mail exchange, I received a call from a district manager and local beer manager to hear about my experiences. I received a sincere apology and affirmation the problems will be worked out. Great customer service and effort to make things right in order keep my business. And at the end of the day (or week possibly), I will have Celebration in my kegerator. So, all's well that ends well...I am happy.
