What would it take to land both of these in one trade? I would like to make a more than fair offer, but I am not sure what that would be as I have not seen either traded in a long time. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Went ahead and just made an ISO/FT thread...this can be deleted. Thanks.

Uberliner shouldn't be that hard. It's fairly limited, but it's not the best of SH's releases (still good, just not amazing). Most people who still have one seem to be willing to let it go for well-regarded limited beers.

BRL is another story. It's awesome and quite rare. I've been trying to trade for one with some decent ammunition (one-off HF releases, etc.) with no success for quite some time.

I think they only bottled around 300 bottles of the BRL. It will take some ammo.

Yea, I offered up a bunch of good stuff and got crickets. I think I'm done "whale" hunting for awhile.

Im not sure anything on your FT list would land a BRL.

Agreed. The Darkness Vertical could work but you'd have to find the right trader.

I don't understand why one of my 100 count TH Growlers couldn't draw some interest. No worries. On to better things. And I still have great beer to drink.

I landed a BRL last month with a Fou Foune + T25 + BBmonster29 3:1. To give you a gauge of what it recently went for.

Speaking as someone who has one bottle of BRL left, and really enjoys TH beers.... Town Hall releases a lineup of barrel aged beers every year (albeit, not the same ones every year). Meanwhile, there's a fair bit of uncertainty about future releases from Southampton since Phil Markowski's left. I'm also under the impression (though I may well be wrong) that because the TH beers are also on tap, a lot of BAs who go to those releases are willing to trade the growlers. Finally, Black Raspberry Lambic is quite simply the best sour I've ever had, American or otherwise. I'm hard pressed to believe that I'll end up enjoying whatever beer I traded it for more, so I'm intending to open up my last bottle with friends at some point this year.

edit: For perspective, the one bottle I sent out in a trade was 1:1 with an acquaintance for the most recent batch of Fou Foune, shortly after release. While I absolutely love fresh Fou Foune, and I'm glad I did the swap then, as that was my first chance to try Fou Foune, I wouldn't make the same trade today.

Appreciate the feedback everyone. To axeman, I wasn't thinking my TH Growler would go 1 for 1 with it. Was encouraging people to combine whatever they felt was fair. Anyways, no worries.

^ ah, alright, misunderstanding on my part. Best of luck in your search.

Do a search on "Town Hall" on the trade forum and see what people are offering the growlers for and what people are offering to get the growlers. That should tell the tale since it is doubtful that anyone is letting go of BRL for what it takes to get a town hall growler.

It's crazy that Black Raspberry Lambic has turned into the whale it has. I had 3 pours of it at the release and thought it was fantastic. I sent out one bottle right after the release for a Fou Foune 1:1 as part of a larger trade, but that's a trade 100 people would do know!

It is a great beer and I'm disappointed that not many people will get to try it. Also, Uberliner was very good, but it is a style that takes less time and expertise to make, so I can't imagine it will be that hard to get. BRL is a truly unique product, I can't think of another Black Raspberry beer let alone lambic.

Because the Town Hall growlers (or at least Twisted Jim) will be released again and again, whereas SBRL won't ever be brewed again since the brewer has since left Southampton. Oh, and it's considered one of the best in it's style. Ditto for Peconic.

About a year ago...I traded a King Henry straight up for a SHBRL. I couldn't believe my good fortune. Held onto the beer until Philly Beer Week. It was superb. I've been trying to trade for one since, and no matter what I offered up, I couldn't land one. So I posted an absolutely ******ed ISO for one a few days back, and still didn't think I'd get a bite. I got two and did both deals. I had multiples to play with of everything except the BAB9K...so I had to sub out something else for that when I got the second reply. Every beer I offered up I've had enough times that I quite frankly won't care if I ever get a chance to crack them again. I know it's an absurd quantity but...it's just beer.

    Hunuhpu's
    Moat Water
    Cognac Sweet Stout
    Ghost Stories
    Marshal Zhukov
    4-pack BBPt5
    4-pack BCBS
    BAB9K

If you have quantity to play with, and don't mine thinning the cellar a bit...throw a heap of solid brews at it. You should be able to get it done.

They didn't release Twisted Jim this year. Just saying.

    Twisted Jim - Score = 4.13; W:G = 43:12
    BRL - Score = 4.48, W:G = 334:28
