    just bought my usual go to brew pine belt pale at specs and it rang up 2.39 now im scared its old, do they do any kind of dating system?

    I don't think Spec's has single SKUs anymore, though I could be wrong.

    yes I believe this is true, at least the specs I shop at does not offer singles or mix six

    cans have to be rung up as single, then multiplied to match a 4/6 pack..

    Not necessarily. It depends on how a store has the UPC set up in their computer. I can't speak for Spec's, but Gabriel's sets up UPCs on cans to ring up as six-packs. If we want to break a sixer into singles, we have to put a sticker with the item (SKU) number over the barcode so the cashier doesn't ring up an individual can as six. With Spec's no longer doing singles, I would think that they wouldn't have single SKUs anymore. But to be honest, $2.49 sounds about right for a single of Pine Belt. So it's possible that it rang up as a single.

    I also slowly bought this specs 2 cases of boxer, and the last 3-4 I bought rang up 10.99 so I assumed aged inventory automatically saw a price reduction. also bought a weasel rodeo for 13.99
