Heard from 2 sources that this will not be brewed anymore. A friend called the brewery and the lady (name unknown) verified this. Has anyone else heard this?

I haven't, but I will always insist that it was not the same recipe as the Pro-Am!

Indeed the pro-am was way different

I don't doubt it. They completely botched the release of this and they just sit on the shelves. Honesty and Reason is a better IPA but there are better ones available from local breweries. Buried Hatchet is still a great stout but I never even grab that anymore.

Buried Hatchet is amazing and it just sat on my shelf forever. Sadly.

Buried Hatchet is such a good deal. I also am a fan of their Pine Belt pale ale. Valkyrie was only ok. Still enjoy making it out to Conroe every once in a while and I'm guessing they sell a lot of Bombshell Blonde.

I always forget how much I like Buried Hatchet. Whenever I drink it, it is always such an enjoyable beer.

Southern Star has a "New School" IPA coming out that I'm looking forward to. If it's anywhere near as good as their Half Nelson it should be delicious.

Buried Hatchet with coffee was a great beer. It should be put into cans

Southern Star is definitely one of the more underrated breweries in Texas, but damn, its hard to find Valkyrie or Pine Belt that was brewed in the past year or so.... Buried Hatchet is just the best!

Fresh pine belt tall boys were a real treat. Valkyrie never stood a chance.

I consciously don't buy valkerie 4pks, because I have no idea how old it is. Every time I see it on tap a get it though. Great beer. Will be missed.

It would have been awesome if they had just switched to six packs of tall boys. Those things were super crushable and the price was always right.
