Southern Tier 2xOne Pale Ale

Second that, better than chillwave aka Alchemy Hour hrumph! I will see tonight I picked up a bottle.

 

I only quickly looked at the store, but I couldent find mosaic hops printed anywhere on the 6pack or the bottles, just that it was 1 type of hop. Why wouldent they put it on? or did I just miss it

 

Had this last night on draft. In general I'll give a beer a 4 (or higher) if I would buy it again. This gets a 3.75 in my book. It's good but nothing special. No way in hell it compares to last years Alchemy Hour.

 

If it tastes anything like Hop Ranch I will love it. I suppose I should go buy some now.

 

Picked up a six pack based on this thread. Great beer...get the tropical taste from the mosaic without the onion that I get from hop ranch. For ~$12 a six pack, definitely worth giving a shot.

I find something really funky about these similar tasting beers like Hop Ranch, 2XONE and Sucks to some extent. Reviews are through the roof on them and people describe all sorts of tropical fruits, but I mainly taste sweaty funk.

 

I thought it was decent, I am not getting all these explosive flavors others are describing, I actually thought it tasted a little bland. I will have to try some more of my 6er.

 

I love it!! Great beer it drinks like a 5% beer I love southern tier brews great beer at a great price they don't fuck ur eyes out on $ like most breweries!!

 

This beer really made me appreciate different hops.It was never something i thought of when buying an ipa but now i seek out beers with mosaic hops.If it wasn't for this beer i probably would have passed on beers like chillwave.

2xone needs to be year round dammit.It's already gone from my good beer stores.

 

It probably will be; Almost all of the 2x series are year round offerings (around here anyway). Southern Tier has always seemed to keep that magical balance between value and quality in good order much like Lagunitas.
