Another New Beer, Another "Session" IPA. I wont even start the debate on a 4.6% session beer but another session IPA? Southern Tier has done some really good work with their bigger beers and their variety is stellar but why re-use the name Farmers Tan? It is currently a retired Imperial Pale Lager. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to try it but they already did a bottle conditioned pale ale, Live. This will also be a bottle conditioned pale, no? I am very confused with this beer release. I hope it comes out good. Cheers. http://www.stbcbeer.com/farmers-tan/
Let them use the name again. They had to do it because Ithaca beer came out with a session IPA that is a bit stronger at 6% called green trail. You will find that these things always happen across the board. So session IPA is in. Let's see how they do? This style of beer is looking for mouthfeel and Ithaca did it very well but it's still high for abv compared to all day ipa which is the benchmark for popularity in this "style . "
