Has anyone heard of any updates regarding their arrival in our state?

Hopefully soon...loooooove Unearthly, and most everything else...Texas is really making headway with all of these breweries entering our great state!

I hope so as well. I sent them an email and hope to hear something. I've had a couple of their beers and they were all pretty solid. Only 1 I didn't care for was Gemini. Can't wait to try their stouts and barleywine and of course Pumking.

I received a return email from ST and they are expanding into any new markets this and have no plans for expansion at this time. :(

I was talkin' with the bartender at Whip In yesterday and he said the distributor (I believe BEK?) said April.

Now we can all join in on the Pumking complaining next year! ;)

2013 is lookin' up in Austin!

2013 is looking to be an epic year in new distribution to Tx. Well, at least for you northern Texans! Save some of that Parabola and Sucuba for next years Karbach releases and lets work out some trades.

    Edit...you can keep Pumking.

I've been doing trades with other Houston BAers for Karbach stuff if you ever need something that doesn't make its' way down there or is in short demand. Just LMK. :)

I'm going to be buying... the shit... out of Firestone Walker in particular ;)

I just hope kegs of Barrel Aged Backburner hit Houston. That beer is one of the best things I've ever tasted. Soooo good!

It should be first quarter 2013. If you have had any of their bottles of late you will see they have already changed their labels to say "ale on tx" so their label approvals should go smoothly

So I finally get to have somewhat fresh Pumking? Oh happy days!

I've been wanting to try the Creme Brulee Stout! I'm excited! :D

1 sip and you are done. This beer is the most cloyingly sweet beer ever. It tastes like what it says, but you will be amazed how obnoxious it is.

Java, Mocha, Oat, and Choklat are all far superior.

This has been like this for a while now. They had plans to expand here before but moved back due to demand in their Current markets

Had my parents bring some 2XIPA and Unearthly when they came in town a month ago. Not really a fan. Both seemed very thin to me.

I wouldn't judge them based on IPAs. Their stouts, Pumpking, and Backburner are the bread and butter.

DanzBorin is spot on! Creme Brulee sounded awesome to me. First sip was intriguing, second sip resulted in multiple cavities. Simply too sweet. Choklat, Mokah, Java, Oat, Unearthly, 2IPA, Pumpking all above average.

I'm going to have to disagree with the both of ya. I enjoyed Creme Brulee. Can't wait to try the others. Except Pumking. I'm over the spiced beers for now.

Icetrauma, don't know you but have seen your posts and sure we'd get along. If I can dig up any more Creme Brulee, it is yours gratis! But think I used our last bottle on a batch of pancakes. :)

Brought some back from the East Coast and we drank it this weekend. Pancakes was our exact idea. Well, drinking beer at 7am with pancakes was the idea. It was more about how to make it seem less like... uh... a problem. ;)

I will agree that Mocha and choklat are far better than Creme brulee but i also liked CB for what it was.

My parents, who live in Florida, are huge fans... but I honestly think of them at around the same level as Shipyard... they make 1-2 beers that are above average, but nothing stellar or absolutely nuts.

Has anyone been talking about the fact that Shipyard is in town now as well? :)

Southern Tier is blah... Everything I had was overly sweet and a drainpour. The only one I actually drank and enjoyed was Pumpking. Havent tried unearthy but after everything else I had wasn't excited to seek it.

Heard that in ATX, Keg 1 might be the distributor. That's rumor from my Keg 1 guy. He said they're getting "Southern" something in April. he thought it was "Point" but that's not a brewery and he got that confused with Ballast Point, which their rollout meeting is next week for.

I love me some Pumking. I can't wait to get it locally instead of having my brother from Chicago hold ship them to me.
