So it looks like the beer is back according to the website. Back in the blackwater series releases, appears to have taken the place of plum noir? April realease...

Also looks like Goat Boy, a new weizenbock takes the place of Backbuner, the ole barleywine

I love how quickly they change over their beers, and bring back favs like mokah

I'm glad Mokah is back also. I'd give that weizenbock a shot also. ST is doing some really good things!

"So much in brewing is looked at through the eyes of history. With centuries of beer making behind us, it is impossible to ignore traditions. If we did, we’d be doing a disservice to the heritage of our trade. In Germany, brewers have made “bock” beers for hundreds of years. These are dark, malty, lightly hopped beers first brewed in the 14th century in the town of Einbeck. Funny thing about this town’s name – when the style was adopted by brewers in Munich, their Municher accents pronounced “Einbeck” as “ein Bock” which is German for “Billy Goat.” True story. To this day, many visual puns using goats have adorned labels of Bock beers.

Thank the beer gods. Mokah is great. Plum Noir was unimpressive.

2xSteam, Plum Noire, and Back Burner - RIP. But all of the new beers they have rolling out have me much more excited.

I really liked Plum Noir, but it didn't fit in with Southern Tier's lineup as it didn't have an overwhelming plum flavor (hardly any at all really). I've never tried the Mokah though so i'm excited for that.

Mokah is awesome. When I buy it again, I will not age this time around.

I was not a huge fan of Mokah, but it was better than Plum Noir, which turned out ot be kind of a dud. I love and will miss Backburner, esp the bourbon barrel-aged version. As long as ST never, ever, EVER gets rid of Chocklat, it's all good in the neighborhood.

I'll definitely try the weizenbock. ST is one of about 5-6 breweries that I'll try anything they make at least once without hesitation.

I am soooo incredibly happy. This beer is like a much more easily attainable Chocolate Rain.

Rather see Jahva come back, but glad to see Mokah. And Goat Boy makes me wonder why they retired Heavy Weizen.
