Has anyone else noticed that Southern Tier Pilsner no longer has a packing date on the outside of the box? :expressionless:
This makes me really upset because it always used to. Now there is no way of knowing how old the beer is without tearing open the package. I don't get it. Why would you stop dating a beer that should be consumed fresh when it's in a sealed package?!? It's bad enough when breweries don't date their beer to begin with, but why would you always do it and then stop?

    Why do it and stop?

Perhaps the beer was sitting on shelves and the brewery thought removing the date might help old beer sell easier?

    But I get your frustration.

Maybe the printer temporarily malfunctioned for a complete batch.

I recently came across one of their 15 can "overpacks." I had purchased it before, let's say late spring 2017. The new box lacked dates anywhere I could see. Good pilsner by the way.

I hope that's all. To quit printing dates altogether is absurd. Sure, the bottom of the can still has a date, (as far as I know) but that's pointless if it's in a sealed package without a date.
