Walking home from the train the other day, I noticed a storefront being painted for a new business called Sparge. The window says "Craft Beer Culture, Lifestyle & Accessories." Anybody have any idea what this is? The web site doesn't work and I haven't seen any activity in there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's a bottle shop, but the description seems odd.
They are called "Sparge Brewing Company" . From what I've gathered, they are a brewer, JUST starting out; at least under this name.
lifestyle???? what is beer culture lifestyle? I didn't think we were that generic or cookie cutter. EDIT - there facebook page is just as mysterious as the sticker.
It's in Uptown, on Buena just west of Broadway. There's a pretty good bar next door (Bar on Buena) that has good rotating taps and is worth checking out in its own right.
