It's my #1 beer but the distributor serving Tucson, AZ (at least Total Wine, where I used to get it) is no longer carrying it. Major disappointment. Any insight on this and anyone in my area have a source?
Seems like this one pops up every few months since it's a favorite beer of many people. Last I recall, some posters were mentioning that it seems to be a regional thing. It's a alive and thriving in some places, but some distributors were killing it off. The Spaten brand itself is in a strange spot. It's owned by AB, but they don't seem to know what to do with it. The Franziskaner half of the brand is thriving in Bavaria, but you barely ever see the Spaten name/brand. There have been rumors of a sell-off or rebrand for the better part of 20 years, but it doesn't seem like anyone is any hurry. Whenever someone posts like this I always wonder if it's finally happening, but it hasn't been the case yet.
