Spec's Midtown

You hit the nail on the head. Any other area scotch, tequila, bourbon, wine, you get the picture, I get approached in a friendly manor and asked if I could be helped and get led around and shown various items. In the beer section, I have to ask for help, never shown where the product is and get an attitude from the employee. This is why I no longer go to Specs Midtown. Bay Area is my store of choice after I've hit up D&Q. I'll pay a little more at D&Q because I'm always greater with a smile and a hello.

 

I will happily pay more at D&Q as well. Besides, there you know the man receiving the money is very deserving and works very hard for it. Besides that, SPECS doesn't offer singles, and I rarely commit to six packs! I do still go to SPECS, but D&Q is my first stop when I drive down to beer shop.

 

My SPECS of choice is Louetta and 45. A newer store and much closer to me. Everyone there knows who I am if they have been there very long. I think they have a new beer guy though.

 

I also prefer singles over 6'ers. Especially when trying new beer and Brandon is awesome.

 

David is the man, ask for him and he should help you out

 

I don't think David is there anymore, I haven't seen him for a couple months. I am sad I didn't get contact info for him outside the store, he was a cool dude.

 

I don't know if you guys are ever out that far, but the Spec's at Spring-Cypress(?) by the Alicia's has an awesome beer lady. Super helpful, really friendly, and even calls me a few times a month just to let me know about new stuff they get in.

 

As far as I know he still works there. I know he does other stuff with that Specs other than beer now so that might keep him busy

 

She is awesome, I have dealt with her in the past. She goes out of her way for her customers. It is about 45 minutes from me, but I go out when I am beer hunting. I always try different stores because they all always have different stuff that sticks to the shelves.

True true, I do get alot of help from their beer dept except for that gang banger dude.
