Speedway Stout question

    Hey I picked up 2 bottles of AleSmith Speedway Stout while passing through NY state (they don't distribute to NJ), and they have 2 different color foils (one dark grey, the other silver), and one says "brewed with coffee" while the other says "brewed with Ryan Brothers coffee". I checked and didn't find a variant that referenced "Ryan Brothers coffee", so I'm guessing these may just be 2 different years, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows it would be much appreciated!

    Same thing, they changed the color of the foil I think last year.

    Two different years. The silver foil is older. Dark grey is a more recent bottling.

    Yep, what standardcherry said. Dark gray is the new foil color; matches the Kopi, BA Kopi (and presumably BA Speedway) that were released this year

    Thanks for the responses! I wish I had purchased a couple more of the silver foil ones now! I checked all over for a bottled on date or at least year before purchase, but after not finding any I just purchased one of each and my buddy also purchased one of the newer ones.

    BA Speedway (at least the most recent one) has black foil...also gold lettering as opposed to grey/silver, so that's likely more the tell tale sign lol

    Coffee can fade, similarly to hops, so a fresh speedway may be more enjoyable than an older one if you're a coffee lover
