When i connect a drain hose and open it i get a whirlpool just below the spigot. Even without a line connected it does the same thing. Should i be worried about oxygen being introduced. This is my second time using it.

I have the same issue with mine. I normally don't worry about it. However, I use mine rarely.

I have a speidel and use the spigot to transfer my beers. Is the whirlpool inside the fermenter under the spigot?

I haven't Noticed a whirlpool so I can't speak on it directly, however, I love my speidel. I haven't had any issues with oxygen pickup and I use the spigot all the time. I doubt it would cause that vigorous of a whirlpool to cause much of an impact. It might pick up some oxygen but enough to cause early staling? Probably not.

The beer spirals out of the spigot. Just prefer a smoother flow. Won't worry about it as long as everything comes out fine.

Ahhh, yeah mine does that too. The beer comes out with a good amount of force, maybe because the spigot is pretty wide. I wouldn't worry about it but if you are you can replace the spigot with a ball valve.

Mine does the same thing if I don't use a co2 push/transfer, and I've had mine for a couple years now with no issues.
