I thought of this thread while visiting Joe Canal's (rare for me). They had either Spellbound IPA or Forgotten Boardwalk Wit, ended up grabbing the IPA since boardwalk had no price. I think I made a good decision, I'll know when I partake on Saturday...

Visited the brewery today. Really enjoyed everything that I had. Their Peach Citra Pale is amazing! I could drink that stuff all day! I will definately be back.

I mentioned this in another thread but if you are from out of town and visiting Spellbound hit up Downtown Pizza on High St. Right across from Village Idiot. The Square Grandma Brooklyn style pie is really good. Village Idiot will let you bring in food/ pizza.

Got to have Spellbound's Peach DIPA on draft at Treno this weekend and I loved it. They're on a serious roll, I hope they keep it up. Easily the best of the new crop of South Jersey breweries.

Most definitely; I put SB and Kane right to the top of the NJ list. Everything they make is very solid, and (most importantly for the experimental and flavored batches like the Palo Santo, Peach IPA, anything barrel-aged, etc.) balanced.

Definitely worth a stop in the tasting room, where there are always small-batch taproom-only releases.

Makes total sense, although I can drink a good porter any time of the year.

Spellbound just updated their facebook saying they added "Two 40bbl fermenters and a 40bbl brite tank." brand new.

This thread and the Peach IPA and white oak IPA has me thinking about checking them out tomorrow late afternoon.

Definitely a cool spot. I did a flight with citra pale ale, peach IPA, black and blue berliner weiss, and palo santo porter. The palo santo porter was unreal. After that, got a cask pour of palo santo with coconut porter. Also great.

The peach IPA wasn't my thing, and I wish I could have tried the white oak IPA. But I will definitely be drinking their porters again.

I had their canned IPA once and didn't find it to be mind-blowing, but this thread is making me want to visit their tasting room.

Peach citra pale ale would be a GREAT lawnmower beer

Had the spellbound IPA both canned and most recently on tap , was very good Ipa , I could keep a 6 of that in the fridge. All this talk of the peach business is making me wish I stopped at the brewery, one day I gotta switch it up instead of being such a slave to kane and carton all the time.

I'll be honest, I had a pour of the Spellbound IPA yesterday that was on tap locally and wasn't overly impressed. I'll reserve my judgment until I try more of their beers. Some of their other beers listed here sound very intriguing.

I think Spellbound is producing a solid IPA, better than a lot of NJ breweries that are pumping out some bad stuff. Is it going to light up the trading forums or fly up the top beer lists, no, not at all. But it is a very well made IPA that I will drink whenever I have the opportunity.

Didn't want to start a new thread so figured I'd ask here. Does spellbound use a European dating system to date their beers? I saw their IPA dated 3 12 15 in my local store the other day. That can't possibly be from March right?

I visited Spellbound for the first time a couple of days ago and left pretty impressed. A good selection of different beers all with nice flavor. The peach IPA and oatmeal raisin cookie porter stood out for me. They had a barrel aged Oatmeal Raisin Cookie but it had kicked by the time I got there. Everyone was going crazy over the Palo Santo Porter and it was good, just not my style. I will definitely be back to this place.

Seems very unlikely (and "askin' for trouble" ) for a US brewer to use Euro "day-month-year" coding. Where are you finding any dates on Spellbound products? I've only seen cans and the only one in my beer fridge (a Porter) is undated (and probably bought when it first hit the shelves). Don't recall if they're using the "price sticker" method on their sixpack holders, which have proves less that satifactory for many brands I see.
