Spencer trappist

    Finally got my hands on a bottle of Spencer trappist .... anybody tasted him allready ?

    Don't want to open him yet.....:confused:

    For me personally. It was a cross between a belgian strong blond and a german hefe. Decently nice beer. But nothing worth seeking out in my opinion.

    I liked it. Had it in Massachusetts in February. My impression at the time was a slightly more modern taste but recognizably Trappist, maybe closest to a Chimay white. Worth drinking, I could be a regular, but not something to reorder my personal pantheon.

    I wish they would have started with a Triple instead of a Patersbier. That would have been a great way to introduce themselves. After a few high end offerings the session beer could have made its debut.
