Will be in Boston on 10/13 and looking for a few options to check out during the day.

Any suggestions for solid craft bars in town? Along with great beer, tv's for football should be considered (please).

    Thanks!!!

There's Been several threads you can reference that talk about this at length. Quick version for best bars: Publick House, Lord Hobo, Tip Tap Room, Sunset Grill and Tap. All within a few minutes of downtown

All are going to be pretty good for football as well btw - I really like Tip Tap room due to its location if you're in the city

"Minutes" from downtown is a bit generous.. but those are still the places to be.

Harpoon Brewery is a nice place to stop. Huge beer hall with glass walls that look into the brewery. I would check the brewery tour times and tasting times. Most impressive growler system I've seen in New England. Awesome beer selection, but only have pretzels made onsite to eat. They did not want to steal business from the local bars and restaurants. That brings me to the area. Plenty of bars and nice places to hangout.

Good places within a ten minute walk of your hotel are Kinsale, Stoddards, Jacob Wirth. All should have football on with Kinsale having the best prices and TV situation. Boston Wine Exchange is right next to your hotel and is expensive but has a solid selection.

As alluded to, the best places (Publick House, Lord Hobo, CBC) aren't downtown, but they aren't that far either. None of those is great for watching football, but Hobo would be best. Downtown, Kinsale and JM Curleys are my faves. But best for football and beer downtown is probably Rock Bottom.
