As a craft beer drinker, do you consider spiced beers to be traditional? I know this is a contextual question, and there are many different styles which do or do not make use of spices. But when you think of spiced beers, do you think of it as boundary pushing & contemporary or traditional in essence?

I woud not use the trem "traditional" but people have been adding flavors to beer for a long time.

Back before the industrial age people had to use what was on-hand to brew. I would've loved to try some of the old colonial recipes & was somewhat pleased with some of the modern versions Sam Adams sold a few years back.
