spiedel fermenter air lock

    Should the top of the airlock be secured down, it looks to me like it just sits on top?

    It floats up with pressure. It's different than the snap on clear regular ones. It eliminates a piece (cap) compared to tradition 3 pc. bubblers.

    Mine sits on the top & floats up as it breathes. I've made some pretty nice beers with mine, good luck.
