True. Funny how I thought it was a Wild Ale this entire time. I've never met a triple like splinter gold.

Could be because BA lists gold as an American Wild Ale.

I agree with the issue here. People assume that all beers under American Wild are sour; however, that's really also the best place to put beers that only have Brett. At some point, there's going to have to be some sort of reshuffling in the Brett, sour, wild, etc category.

Definitely agree with you that there needs to be a reorganizing of the American Wild Ale classification. It seems to be a catch all right now. Still Gold belongs in the category because it is dosed with Brett.

The rumor mill runs wild with Tan! It has been rumored to have not carbed up properly & they are still deciding what to do with it.

i dont know why on earth this would irk anyone. with all of the complaints about limited releases and whatnot, i would think a brewery doing a sought after beer again should be a good thing.

As an aside, we opened a Splinter Blue last night and it was down right amazing. Very dry, lively carbonation. Tart cherries. Screw gold.. Lets get more of Blue!

Why not just take a page from Weyerbacher and bottle it with a price tag of $23/bottle and call it a day?! Who cares how it tastes...
