Just saw this http://www.getmyperks.com/deal/nepa...bscriber_nepa&utm_medium=Email&blastID=171472 Good for Sunday. Cheers Rodgers
As a brewer, I stopped doing it after the second one. It was unpleasant to say the least, and did next to nothing to promote the brand.
I am headed there tomorrow with my brother. I know in recent years it has gone down hill but since this is the 25th anniversary, supposedly there is word that it should be better. This "Festivus" used to be the kickoff to the holiday season for my uncle, brother, and I. Hopefully it's a good time with some good beers.
My experience from a few years ago included: --Miller Lite drinking patrons throwing pumpkins at each other in the parking lot --A father and his wheelchair-bound daughter being pushed out of the way by a "conga line" --Grilling brats, etc. INSIDE the venue (indoor) causing smoggy, eye-burning haze throughout that part of the fest --Oversold conditions with "security" that could have cared less about fire codes (or much else) Hopefully it has improved. I guess it would almost have to...
Had some fun times at this yearsss ago, but it did grow in size and sloppiness quickly. The last year I went, some PA breweries brought pretty much nothing.
If you don't mind me asking, what brewery? I grew up in NEPA and like to make the rounds when I go back.
