Hi everyone. Will be visiting Copenhagen Wednesday December 12th through Friday December 14th. Hope to check out the bars 1420 and Koelschip. Anyone done to meet up and drink some beers during those days?

How was the trip? I'm going in May. Any highlights/can't miss places?

For craft beers only this would be my 10 go-to places (random order):
    • Mikkeller & Friends + Koelschip (same address at Stefansgade)
    • BRUS (To Øl brewpub, also good food)
    • 1420
    • Himmeriget
    • Mikkeller (Viktoriagade)
    • Warpigs (also food)
    • Fermentoren
    • KIHOSKH (bottleshop) next to Rbabarrab (bar)
    • Mikkeller & Friends Bottleshop
    • Taphouse (you won’t mostly find anything rare there but they have 61 taps and a very good selection in Danish and European beers)

If you have a larger budget, Himmeriget is a can't miss. They have a very extensive list of bottles. There's tons of harder-to-find lambics in lots of vintages, including Cantillon Blabaer which is exclusively produced for the bar, and when I was there in November there were tons of various barrel aged Mexican Cakes, stuff from Jester King (including Atrial Rubicate), Side Project, and SARA.

Following, will be in Denmark the first week of july. 3 hours out of Copenhagen but hoping to make it at least once.

If you only get there once, go for Warpigs and Himmeriget, with Mikkeller & Friends and Koelschip as back-ups.

I'll be visiting Copenhagen in September and have a quick question... I feel like I have the beer bars I want to visit locked down but what about shops to buy bottles to go? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

For beer to-go, Himmeriget most often also have a decent selection of cans.
Other than that I recommend Mikkeller & Friends Bottleshop and Kihoskh.

I would add Mikkeller General Store and I'm pretty sure that Mikkeller Bar is also selling some of their bottlelist to-go. For lambic that aren't seasonals or better I'd recommend asking one of us locals to order what you need from Belgium. It is cheaper than what you will find in the bottleshops.
