I'm getting married up there on the 16th. I need to get some beer I'm thinking Costco. How does the selection look at the Division and Sprague...even Cda Costcos? Are any carrying bombers yet? Thanks all.

I'd go to Total Wine if you're looking for quantity at a good price for a wedding. The Costco I go to is lacking in the craft beer department...

Be careful, I bought a 6er of Prima Pils a couple weeks ago at the Total Wine in Spokane that was 3 months from the expiration date and it was completely spoiled/skunked. I'm going to use the rest to put into sauerkraut it's THAT bad.

Costco's beer selection in Cd'A and Spokane is BORING! The Rosauer's @ Sprague & University has them beat by miles, the Fred Meyer at Sprague and Sullivan has a decent selection and they both have bombers.
I don't remember seeing any bombers at a Costco around here.

Yeah, you gotta check dates, weird that it showed ok on the date but it was bad. Total Wine still has Double Jack bottled in January sitting on the shelf with a couple cases still in the rack.

I mentioned to someone at the counter that somebody that's going to pay $12 for a 4 pack is probably going to be savvy enough to check the dates and they probably won't buy 10 month old IPA. Pointless, but I want some Double Jack and that old shit is just sitting there.

Oh yeah, and Yokes on Trent and Argonne has a great selection. I know one of the new managers there and he's a beer geek who was given a lot of freedom to beef up their beer selection. I believe he'll give you 10% off if you buy in quantity.

Good point on Yokes. They had a very good selection at the Opportunity store but I haven't been in a Yokes since it was closed there.

I'm not looking for anything too crazy, I'm thinking SNPA would be effective. My Costco down south say 100 miles has Deschutes Mirror Pond, Chainbreaker, Bridgeport variety, Rogue bull-ish, and SN Flipside.

I gave up even looking for beer at the Costco here. I remember Bridgeport IPA, and possibly Mirror Pond but that was a couple months ago.
    Call them and ask.

Oh, it makes sense after reading this thread. My friend in Spokane posted "At costco on division." I didn't have any idea what she meant. She posted a photo of them selling Utopias. And, cheap too.

If they are selling Utopias, it stands to reason they sell bombers there too. Truth be told, I mostly want to know if any of those are selling cases of Celebration. THAT would be ideal to me.

They don't sell bombers. That's "my Costco" and their selection sucks...although they had Dead Guy cases once. Utopias must have been a blind squirrel/nut kinda thing.

What is this box and why can I type in it?

Anyhow, saw this thread a few days ago and thought I'd mention the Utopias is gone at the Costco. A friend of mine was going to buy it and split a tasting but it was disappeared before they got there.

A buddy just told me Costco is now selling 22oz variety 6 packs...no single bombers though.

When I go to spokane I eat at Flaming Joe's or Flying Goat because of the food and beers. Wheres another great place to eat with a good beer selection?

Flying Goat is a good spot. Manito Taphouse and Waddell's are two places with good food and a bunch of craft taps.
Post Street Alehouse has over 20 craft taps. Some like their food, I'm not big fan.

Some might give me some crap for this, but The Viking is a sports bar that has pretty good bar food and they have a bunch of taps(some BMC). Sometimes they have some pretty cool stuff on tap. Some would question the cleanliness of their lines...the beer I've had there has been fine.

"Discovered" a new brewery today. Orlison Brewing in Spokane. I picked up three of their offerings: Havanüther Pils, Clem's Gold, Lizzy's Lager.
A few reviews but no mention of them in a forum. No love from "East Side" BA regulars?
I had the Clem's Gold so far & very decent. Kinda like a Dortmunder.

The brewery is at 12921 W 17 Ave, Airway Heights (Spokane).
I bought the beers at Pear Market at Pike Place Market in Seattle.

Orlison used to be Golden Hills. I think Orlison is the name of the current financial backer. I think it's still run by the same guy - who, back in the days when they were self-distributing, rubbed a lot of bar owners the wrong way, so not a huge number of places carry their beer. I think they are regularly on at the Hop Shop and I've encountered them recently at the Post Street Ale House. They only recently began canning, and I still haven't seen any of their beers at my usual beer-to-go haunts
