Hey everyone...heading to Spokane to visit the in laws this weekend and wondering what kind of selection you guys get out there and where a good bottle shop is. I would normally just bring some good beer but we are flying and checking a bag for a one day trip just to bring some beer might make me look a little pathetic in front of the in laws I might need some good beer (and a lot of it) after the Huskies play Oregon on Saturday...it has been one of the worst days of the year for me for 10 years straight now...so please...help me out! Thanks! P.S. I love Spokane and I am looking forward to visiting you beautiful city!
What he said, plus you could always growler up at Iron Goat, Ramblin Road or at the Growler Guys on the northside. As to bottleshops, what part of town are you going to be in, and will you have access to a car? Northside, there's Total Wine and J.B.s. Both tend to keep stuff on shelves longer than can be good. South Hill, Huckleberry's and Rocket Market are both good bets. If in the valley, Bottles (in Millwood) has a good selection. If able to go as far as Idaho, Enoteca in Post Falls sometimes has some beers that can't be found anywhere else, but their prices can be a bit high, so it's best to limit your purchases there to what can't be found elsewhere locally.
One of these days Selkirk will hit Seattle... one of these days... Still wonder what happened, they planned on being in the market last February.
Tavour has offered four Selkirk Abbey brews over the last couple months. Not sure how they're getting them.
From what I've been told, the west-side distributor that was hand-picked by Selkirk massively dropped the ball and led SA to halt their plans for distributing there. I'm sure it will eventually happen, just a question of how long it will take SA to get the bad taste out of their mouth and find a new distributor they are comfortable with.
Found some Cowiche Canyon at Rocket Market so it was a successful weekend! Besides the results of the football games of course
