Will be travelling back and forth between McCormick Place and the loop for several days. Any great spots nearby to check out? I've tried searching around here and beermapping, the problem is that Chicago is so large. being new to town, and wanting to imbibe, just looking for great spots...

Skylark is just due west of Mccormick place on Cermak. (good food, get the tots) great tap list
Simones is a few blocks and around the corner from Skylark. (good food) pretty good tap list
Maria's is in the hood too, just south and due west on 31st. (no food, but order next door at pleasant house) Big on whiskey and bourbons. awesome tap list all the time.

Closer to McCormick is Kroll's. Good bar food overall nice tap list but bigger bottle selection. Nothing crazy (sports bar)
Flo & Santos has some good pizza and usually has a nice treat as far as draft beer.
Reggie's can be fun. Almost all the time they have live music, not sure about food but a decently large draft list. I haven't been there for the beer but for some shows and i do recall seeing some decent local stuff on tap. There might be a cover depending on the event.

    LAST edit i swear.
Binny's is between both places and they have a huge selection of bottles (liquor store) if you're taking anything with you. Otherwise they have a taproom with a nice surprise here and there.

Kroll's is family friendly and Simone's too but after 7 they may not allow it.
