Guess I didn't realize we had some stuff others didn't. Figured we were some of the last to get things. Definitely easy to get Snake Handler. The rest isn't too hard to come by either (with the exception of the hard to get stuff).

    Thanks!

Just this weekend I had a great shopping trip at Crown Liquors on Meridian in Carmel, IN. I was in town for a soccer tourney and stopped by to find some beers I can't get in Ohio. Zack and Rachel spent about 30-40 minutes with me talking about Flat 12, Clown Shoes, Schlafly, 3 Floyd's, New Belgium, etc. Just stellar service. I was so pleased I headed back to the hotel to grab a Nugget Necter (wished it was fresher), White Rajah, and a Flower Power to bring back and share. Their jaws dropped when I walked back in with these and we proceeded to chat for another 30 minutes while drinking beers they have never had. THAT was a good day.

Asked my packey about Parabola over the weekend. They said July which sounds about the typical delay every year.

    Apparently I need new friends...

Or just more friends who appreciate good beer

Just a warning to those recklessly sharing and giving away fine beer:

I can't explain the dynamics, but the more fine beer you give away and share the more magically comes back to you, and it always seems to be more than what you gave/shared. I have been trying to empty the cellar by this method, and it just does not work.

Had to mail order Surly to a friend's apt in NYC since I can't get it shipped directly to Mass. Passed along a few Furious and Abrasives as a thank you. Friend is just getting deep into IPAs.

A few weeks ago I gave a 2012 and a 2013 KBS to a guy at my wifes office who has never been able to try it before. Figured I needed the karma and I was lucky enough to have one of each to spare.

I'm not gonna brag on myself, but there's a few BA's (bad asses) out there that have hooked me up very generously. This year has been an amazing one for beer drinking, thanks to some trades, and just sharing among friends. It's awesome that a site and a community like this exists.

I usually host my own personal tastings where I feature 10-12 beers for 6-12 people, I usually charge a small fee, and I rarely break even...and I don't mind.

I'm in Teaneck, and yes, I can get some good F/W stuff, some Lost Abbey, and some Founders, but many of the other "mega stars" are not here. Shipping is so frickin' expensive that it's hard to do a lot of swaps for low-end beers all that often, but I have done some already with things like Nugget Nectar and Flower Power.

Just visited a fellow BA'er for the first time to pick up a twelve'r of Jai Alai, ended up with a back seat full of beer. This man will be getting a box full of goodies when I make a trip to upstate NY.

I just completed a trade with Jeremy6566. I nearly broke my arm patting myself on the back for including my last bottle of Ed Fitz as an extra. The twist? His extra was Heady Topper...

I received the box below Friday from a BA in Michigan. It was supposed to be a few Founders Rubaeus that he was going to send me, to spread some Founders joy to a guy in California to enjoy. Instead, I got this!

As the old adage goes, it really IS better to give than receive. In kind of a tight spot now, But I will not forget to reciprocate the kindness of my fellow BAs. I have not forgotten you, folks. Bear with me, that's all I ask.

Just want to post about a solid BA. I posted the other day that I was looking for some Dangerous Kate from Below Grade in Bend for my sister's(Kate) birthday. Was willing to trade whatever. Got a BM from jpfromb saying that he lives in Bend and if I just send a label, he'd grab one for me. Instead, he grabbed two. Doesn't want anything in return, just going out of his way to be a badass BA. Just wanted to give him some public love for being an awesome dude.

I sent somebody 3 bombers of local beer because I liked his avatar.

I sent a couple growlers to some guys simply because they have never tried Elder before.

    I fed my cat today.

On some RRBC is overrated thread earlier this year, a BA from TX said he would probably never get to try Pliny. Sent him a BM saying that I'm going to be in TX for work next week and I will bring you fresh Pliny. I brought him 2 Pliny and 1 Blind Pig. It feels great to give beer away to someone who really appreciates it. I don't have any interest in BIF/LIF but I would like to do this again in the future.

An awesome BA (strohsbeforehoes) saw on a thread that BBPT5th was tops on my wish list and sent me one, asking nothing in returni9ng. Just another example of why I freaking love Beer Advocate. Definitely going to pay it forward!

Brought in some fresh Heady Topper for the folks at work, they all loved it. Felt good to give them a taste of something they'll probably never see again.
