I'm going to the store tomorrow to pick up beer for my camping trip to Big Bend National Park. It's got to be in cans and preferably something I can drink in excess. What do you guys recommend? Distro is Texas so pretty broad.

    Real Ale Hans Pils
    Deep Ellum IPA (6% range)
Southern Star Pine Belt Ale (6% range)
Southern Star Buried Hatchet Stout (9% range)

The first three are in the 5% range and make the most sense.

I've had all of those except Deep Ellum. Karbach does some wonderful stuff and I love that they can most of their beers. I love Buried Hatchet too, though it's been a while since I've had it.

Too bad Hop Delusion is not out, but that wouldn't be a session beer.

Right now I'm thinking Weisse Versa and Little Yella Pils with maybe a sixer of Weihenstephaner Hefe

I thought you said it had to be in cans? If Weihenstephaner is in cans in Texas, I'm making a trip, now. Some suggestions I'd throw in would be SNPA cans (nothing exciting but great for your situation), Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA (believe it's in cans), and I think y'all get Ballast Point in Texas? Sculpin cans would be a wonder for ya, though maybe a bit much to drink in excess...

Weihenstephaner is unfortunately not in cans, however I can attempt a bit of sneakiness. Gotta live on the edge ya know?

Karbach in the cans, can't go wrong! Weekend Warrior or Sympathy for the Lager. Good beach beer as we'll.

Murphy's Irish Stout. Comes in fun nitro-cans of 440 ml (bigger than those common 355 ml cans), super easy to drink, and is the only beer in this thread so far which is a true session beer (≤ 4% ABV). Anybody
agreeing that Ten Fidy (10.5% ABV) is a beer that fits the bill belongs on Planet ****oo.

Not quite a session beer, at least ABV wise, but it's in a can and the name says it all: Happy Camper IPA from Santa Fe Brewing Company.
