Springfield/ Joplin Missouri Breweries

    Hi,
    I am doing the Bike MS Ozarks ride this weekend and was wondering the best places in Springfield and Joplin. We start in Clever and will stay overnight in Joplin. I am staying in Springfield Friday night and figured why not check out the local scene if I could.

    There is a lot of Mother's in Joplin, not much else. The bars downtown are pretty fun, and you may get to hang out with Preston from Jackass. There is also a cool pool hall.

    If they went to a more upscale dinner menu, I would eat there more often. I guess they tried it early on & it just didn't catch on. Their specials are usually pretty interesting & tasty, plus their usual dogs & burgers ( I can always wolf one of those down ).

    In that neck of the woods, it's kind of a nice change, not that many in the area. It almost makes me feel like I went to a city:wink:

    went to Mother's and wow was I impressed. Other than the parking I loved it. Thanks for the tips!
