I've got a meeting in Springfield NJ this week. Will have some time to kill, any bottle shop recommendations?

Wine Library is your best bet

Yep, Wine Library is the place to go in Springfield. If you're up for a short drive, Buy Rite in North Plainfield is about 15 mins away.

It was at one time the best place in Springfield, but sadly Wine Library has gone downhill quickly since Graham left, as they just don't pay attention to beer there anymore.
Other options are Stew Leonards also in Springfield and Total Wine in neighboring Union.
And I like @Jacobob10 recommendation of Buy Rite as they usually have Kane & Carton on tap at the growler station among other things.

Agreed about Wine Library. That used to be a go-to spot for me, since I drive through Springfield on the way home from work. Since Graham left, I don't bother stopping there anymore. The beer section is smaller and the shelves are often bare.

Vine Republic in Mountainside doesn't have a great selection, but I've picked up a few gems there over the years. There is also Shop-Rite Liquors in Westfield.

Avoid Wine Library. Awful and old selection. They could care less about beer.

Drive a few minutes to Madison/Chatham and go the Buy-Rite or Garys there instead.

Anywhere in Springfield or nearby that carries Carton cans?

Or best local selection and/or New England breweries? Any Other Half or SingleCut in NJ?

no Other Half or SingleCut in NJ at any store. Carton cans are extremely hard to come by apart from at the brewery. Gary's in Madison may have some - maybe some quite old Sit Down Son - but highly doubtful.

Shop rite liquors in Westfield had cans of Ron's steam bock haircut as of Saturday. It's the closest place to Springfield with Carton cans that I know of.

Any other beers at those stores worth picking up? Can be local/NE brewery stuff and/or specific beers? I won't be getting to NJ for another 10-14 days or so.

Gary's has a pretty regularly updated Beermenus page. NJ in general is extremely sparse in terms of special releases in retail stores. That stuff is either brewery only or kept in back.

I like Super BuyRite in North Plainfield on Route 22. They always have growlers of local beer, including Carton and Kane. They will give you samples from the taps as well. They have the best selection of beers from 12% Imports include Evil Twin, Omnipollo, Stillwater and Off Color. Some of these beers are hit and miss, as a lot of them are out of the box.

Route 22 East into Union will get you to Total Wine. Big place, big selection.
