Hey guys. It looks like Squatters will be releasing Fifth Element this week and 529 probably next week. I'm curious as to what the trade value is since I wasn't I'm Utah last time is was released. I did some searching through the trade forums but didn't find anything completed. Jester King fruited sours are high up on my list but am not sure where the demand lies. Thanks! Anything helps.

You might be able to get $4$ on limited shelf beers, but I would not expect much. The only Utah beer I have been able to reliably trade is Big Bad Baptist and even that one can be tough because they produce quite a bit of it and it sees a fair amount of distribution.

Both Fifth Element and 529 trade well with people who know what they are... Unfortunately not that many people are aware because they are always so far between releases (and they saw virtually no distribution on the last batches). Also, there was speculation that Squatters would never make sours again when Jennifer left for Redhook and then Russian River.

To give you an idea of what I have traded them for, I traded a most recent batch 5th Element and 1x each of the 2 previous batches of 529 for 2x Russian River Toronado 25's.... So 3x for 2x. We were both pretty damn happy.

5th Element is certainly a top tier sour and 529 is no slouch.

    Hope this helps.... Toby.

P.S. I am also ISO a mule as my Utah connection moved to PDX last year. :slight_frown:
