I love this. I would look at folks' comments that spoke with people at TG. @mothman can probably enlighten you on its magic (I do not have bottles.. not trying to tout it). The first one that was average 92 is a different beer than this. yes they should have renamed it, but they didn't.

I added a new listing since it is a new beer essentially. BA in 20 year pappy barrels. It's legit. Better than pappy ba assassin imo. Tasted like bcs rare. Not sure what the base beer is, however.

Looks like there are issues with the ratings on this. BA has two beers (one retired) that seem to be the same name but one was released on tap 2 years ago. If you just look at the 9 ratings that were added over the past week (which are most likely these bottels,) you'd find a beer that has a rating average of approx 4.73. 9 ratings isn't much but it isn't a bad start.

So are any of these trades actually getting done?

But it says TG and Pappy on it. It has to be worth multiple big ones, right? (looking for a sheep emoticon to add and can't find one). Sorry, I sold my turnip truck a long time ago.

Yes, you are correct @Mangbus. More folks need to report this issue (request an update) before there is a correction, I'm sure. Looks like the mods thought that the new listing was actually a duplicate, and then retired the wrong one.

As we have come to learn over the years, ratings mean close to nothing until there are some non-homer reviews (& I say this as a fan of TG).

@mothman said they told him 20 year PVW at the brewery. Assassin is aged in pappy barrels as well so that kind of makes sense.

It seems like people are thinking it's assassin that's aged longer. If that's the case why are they selling for less? $25 vs. $30. Haven't tried mine yet, so can't comment on the quality.

Plenty have been open, not everyone is on BA or does reviews.

Since when did anyone "have" to do anything for beer? ;-)

From reading the Solera thread, I cannot see how this beer is Assassin. Isn't it a completely different process involving completely different barrels?

SR 71 was at the brewery, on draft, on KBBS day, June 1st of 2013. The employees told me it was non B'aged Assassin base 2012 on vanilla. I've also seen people review this beer back in 2013, and mentioned the same thing. I know the bottled "new" SR 71 is B'aged and I didn't get much vanilla
