They sold for the exact same amount at the brewery - $25 each.

Assassin sold for $25 at the brewery and saw very limited distribution to just a handful of TG's best retailers.
Those retailers were selling Assassin for an average of $30, and they sold out instantly.

SR-71 was brewery release only and sold for $25

Had it today at huna day, no where near what assassin tastes like except for the barrel. Also, I thought it was definitely the worst of the tg stouts I've had (assassin and kbbs). Don't get me wrong it's a good beer but it didn't wow me like the others did.

The only beer I've had from them that didn't live up to the hype.

Were you around to see which beer won them second place?

Left about 3:30, didn't hear anything about who "won" anything. I personally don't pay attention to medals or awards beer get. It's rarely objective. I'm just staying what my personal opinion is about the beer. Good beer, but it was far from the highlight of the day in my opinion.

I have to thank moneynoobject for the bottle of SR-71 he brought to a tasting the other day. I liked it better than Assassin but not as much as KBBS.

    2 questions:
Did you guys drink an Assassin side by side?
And who smelled worse; Mark or Chuck?

Hmmm that surprises me I thought both of you... well maybe not @blue-dream but definitely you were like The Speaker of the House and had the power to do that and were third in line of power.

there are separate site editors who handle those kinds of updates. honestly, there's no way i'd have time to manage that on top of keeping you all in line.

and as for so-called "power", did you forget about our esteemed BA events director? if you ever volunteer again, i think candice will have a special torture for you. :grimacing:

before the dark times, before the empire!

it's been a good decade plus at this point. man i'm getting old.

Well I figured if Todd went so would Candice... I wish I was back in town for the event this weekend as the ladies and I have a great time checking in all the brewers and dealing with the "entertainment" throughout the night!
