St Arnold Endeavour

Ya last time I tried to check I just saw a 3/2013. Couldn't tell the day... Am I missing something?

 

Not sure, but probably so. Every bottle I've seen has month and day, not just month.

 

I'm guessing the slash wasn't in the date code? Format is mddyy (3/20/13).

 

Hmm really thought I saw 3/2013 but you are probably right. This makes much more sense.

Endeavour is still one of my top Favorite DIPAs

 

I love Endeavour, but had a 3/20/13 bottle last night that had a very muted hop punch. Hoping its just a bad bottle/batch and not the new standard for Endeavour.

 

Damn I hope I don't agree with you. Just bought 2 bottles of this batch today, planed on enjoying tomorrow before the Deftones show. Gotta get shitty pre show so I don't have to buy $10 lone star at Verizon Theater.

 

Where did yall find the 3-20 Endeavour? I'm looking for some fresh to send to trade buddies and Specs Midtown just had the February batch

 

Specs Jones/290 had like 6 cases

 

I see the fresher batches at Market Street HEB every now and then if you wanna check somewhere closer to you.

 

I bought mine from Spec's Midtown. I guess they ran out, or you gotta check both the shelf and the fridge.

I had some Easter Sunday from that batch and thought it was delicious as ever.... bummer about yours.

 

How often do they put out batches of Endeavor? Ive seen 2/13 and 3/20. Is it safe to say ~once a month?

Follow up - What do yall consider really fresh? Picked up a 2/13 the other day and want to try it vs a "fresh" bottle to see what kind of differences I can pick up. <5 days fresh? <10?

 

Craft Pride had a cask of Endeavour this weekend and it was heavenly. Might still be on.

Haha, kinda. A lot of places are close, but I'm learning that finding new beers down here, it's like fresh meat to a pack of lions. They don't last very long. I'd bet that its easier to find certain things outside of town than inside the loop.

 

What little they send outside of the loop. lol
