Speaking of Pumpkins, has Punkel from Lakewood ended up in Houston?

I jest... I know that generally people like one or the other quite a bit more than the other.

 

I tweeted at specs and they said, if your local specs carries other Lakewood options then you can find punkel there. I assume at a later date, but that tells me there must be plenty to go around.

I stopped into the WF on Waugh tonight and there were 2 people there already looking for Pumpkinator. I guess I've been living in denial, but apparently craft beer is incredibly popular.

I just tried Pumpking for the first time last night. It's kind of like the White Spy to to Pumpkinator's Black Spy. They have their similarities and differences, both are great.

 

How does Warlock compare to Pumpkinator?

 

I know. The Spec's here is the only option for craft, but they actually have a really good selection. We are just too often overlooked in favor of the larger markets. I don't think they take into account the people coming from Mexico as part of our market. It is slowly getting better.

 

I saw it in Katy over the weekend. Mason Specs.

 

Anybody had Lakewood Punkel yet? Thoughts? I passed up a 6er at Spec's Midtown the other day since I hadn't heard much.

 

My wife liked it so much at the Texas Craft Brewers Fest that she got it twice.

I remember it being alright, but nothing that knocked my socks off.
