So what's the deal with this? Is it bottled yet, or will it be (draft only)? Will they keep it as a year round brew? Not much info on their website.

It was the base beer for BB4. They had extra and just released it on its own.

    Base beer for BB4? Really?
    That sounds awesome.

Just had it today at Beavers. Primus by Live Oak kills it.

Not even fair :stuck_out_tongue: Primus is in a league of its own.

I know that. But is it a one and done or are they gonna keep brewing it?

They haven't said anything about brewing it in the future. I would guess that its probably a one and done though.

Uh, are we sure these kegs were the "leftovers" from when BB4 was made? Hasn't that been in barrels for at least a few months?

They blended 10% fresh weizenbock with the BA beer to create BB4 per their website...they felt the weizen yeast characteristics were diminished during the BA process.

I really liked it... but yes.. Live Oak Primus is amazing... and Live Oaks best beer in my opinion.

one of the reps asked me what I thought about the Weizenbock. This beer could potential be bottled in bombers. SA is trying to add more bomber beers.

I'd much rather see 4 packs of Endeavour than trying to add more bombers just for the sake of bombers personally

I liked it but I also just like the style. Aventinus is better and oh lord I can't wait for Primus to come back around. Here's hoping live oak decides to bottle it one if these days!

Seeing as how im not huge on DIPAs, I'd love to see more SA bombers with more variety. You already have Endeavour, let me have this.

Why does it have to be bombers? You wouldn't be happy with 12 ounce bottles of Weizen?

This is what I was trying to say in a roundabout way. I would rather they (everyone) put all beer into 4 or 6 packs instead of bombers. If I have 4 beers in a night id rather have a few different ones than a whole bomber

Edited because I suck at typing on an iPhone
