Been looking for this in Amsterdam with no luck. Was in Brussels and Brugge this weekend with no luck either. Any idea on release date for this?

No idea on the release date, but It's on the beer list for the Brugge Beer Festival if you're just looking to try it.

Hopefully they will have bottles for sale at the Brugge Beer Festival, and not just to sample.

It would be awesome to get to the fest but I won't be able to make it. I'll keep hoping I can find a bottle or two around Amsterdam.

...and Boulevard just bourbon barrel aged Sixth Glass, so getting this doesn't matter since Sixth Glass is better than Abt. 12.

Hopefully more people are as crazy as you so no one buys the Abt 12 and leave more for me.

Need to get a bottle of this and of the Abt 12 barrel-aged beer. Anybody seen either of them?

@RobertColianni I don't think the oak aged abt 12 is out yet. At least not in the states. I haven't seen or heard of it popping up anywhere.

Boulevard doesn't barrel age the Sixth Glass. The BBQ is based loosely on it but it isn't the same recipe, and it's brewed with cherries along with the barrel. And, it was released over a month ago, so I wouldn't say it's recent.

From what I saw it wasn't available at the Bruges Beer Festival.

The beer that goes into barrels is pretty darn close to what we release as The Sixth Glass. It's worth noting that the barrel aged beer isn't necessarily brewed with cherries, but rather the cherries are added during the aging process.

I'm envious of those who have access to St. Bernardus on a regular basis. I ran into a mixed six-pack yesterday for the first time..

I've only had Abt 12 so far but it was a godsend. Probably the best Trappist ale I've had so far.

If the mix six you got is the same as that comes in their variety case here in PA, I suspect you'll greatly enjoy all of them. One of the highest quality mixed variety cases I've ever had from a brewery (and we see a lot of them here in PA because of the "buy by the case" law).

The mixed six comes with their Tripel, Wit, Prior 8, Pater 6, Watou Tripel, and Abt 12.

You guy's can't buy singles in PA?

That's the six. I thought all of them were really good. Best investment in a variety case I ever made.

Limited access to singles in PA, less than a case (up to 192 oz) can be sold only in places like bars or "eateries" which serve food and beer for on-premises consumption. There you can buy a six pack for take home, etc. We're slowly getting more places in some larger grocery stories where they have the space to set up a restaurant as a separate operation (but under the same roof, so to speak). They even need to run separate cash registers. One very recent change is that the case stores can now sell 12 packs so long as it came packaged that way from the brewery. So recent a change that many case stores don't even have their inventory control systems set up to handle it yet.
