Haven't seen that yet, but too rich for my blood right now. I still have a 60th Anniversary cellared and waiting on that one until I'm done with child support payments (less than 3 months left!!!)

Why not both . Or you could just buy the Pannepot for me?

I can't take the chance at nearly 30 bucks for this one. Reviews tend to indicate (generally speaking here) that the barrel presence is not very significant.

New account, and first post even, would you look at that. I had this a couple of months ago from a local whole foods, and I thought it was pretty excellent. The barrel notes were subtle, but overall it definitely rounded the flavors of the base beer out very nicely while adding enough complexity without overloading it. Again, I think subtle is the word for this beer. I don't know if I'd seek it out again, but my wallet certainly isn't hurting for the experience of trying it either.

Place near me sets one out every few weeks. $21.99. I'm waiting until the last one comes out and I'm buying the hell out of it.

Saw this on shelf locally and I trust that it is great, but at 36.99 a bottle just not worth it to me

Just found at a little bottle shop down the road. $22.99 each. I bought two and they had at least 6 more.

I'm not a big fan of the regular Abt 12 but I did pick up a bottle of this a couple months back for $27.99. Hope I'm not disappointed.

I had a couple of bottles of this on my vacation to Southern California last month and it's exceptional! You can really taste the Calvados which adds an excellent complementary apple flavor to the already present flavor a of stone fruit and candied sugar. Being a quad, the Belgian yeast provides enough of a counterbalance to keep the flavored from being too sweet. It's one of the best quads I've tasted and if I see a bottle here in the DC area, I'm definitely picking it up, even at a price tag of $30. It's totally worth it, at least to me!
