I had some of this at the last JO's release, but I never figured out who brought it. Anyway, how do you get a growler of this? I want some.

    Yours truly.
Got it courtesy of my friend Tom (trxxpaxxs). Hopefully he could shed some light on how he obtained it. It was indeed damn tasty!

Is there a difference between the Oak Aged Backburner I just bought off the shelf and drank and the Bourbon Barrel Backburner?

BB is keg only. They tapped it at a few beer events last spring and then kegs hit the market during the summer. A few places had it on tap for growler fills locally, but it seems to have dried up. They do have it on tap at the brewery occasionally. I think SteelersX ordered a sixtel at one point.

Also it has gotta be a completely different base beer - 4.5% in residual barrel alc??? That's Kuhnhenn-esque absurdity…

ps As a hater of ST I can safely say that this beer is fucking incredible.

ST BB Backburner and Cortland BB Flight Level 410 were the 2 favorites I tried at TAPNY this year. Hope both of these get wider release in future.
