Does anybody know if International Tap House in Soulard fills growlers from their taps? If so, what is the average price? I know it ranges from brew to brew. I just wanted to see If any of you have actually had one filled there.

No they do not do growlers. closest places to ITAP for growlers are Perennial, 4 Hands, Schlafly Tap Room and Bridge. Though Bridge is a bit pricey on growler fills

Oh okay. I was just down at Alpha Brewing Company and they had growler fills for $13 plus, $5 for the growler. They have half price growler Thursdays. I will try Perennial or 4 hands. Perennial makes a great Saison. Haven't tried other from them.

You'll hear mixed opinions on Alpha if you check out STL Hops

Their Hefeweizen, White IPA, And Imperial Storter were all good. Everything else was so so. A couple were just down right nasty.

if you go to 4 hands on thursdays, growler fills of any of the flagship beers (reprise red, cast iron oatmeal brown, divided sky ipa, and single speed blonde) as well as most of the seasonals (depending on what they are, they might be more expensive, or not filling growlers of them) are $9 if you have a growler to fill. not sure off the top of my head how much they charge if you need an empty growler as well. really awesome deal that i take advantage of regularly

I wouldn't ever recommend anyone going to alpha (Brah brewing) ever, but they do offer tours for $20 dollars of their home brew operation.

Schlafly taproom fills their barrel aged stout (vanilla is on now) for $12 64oz - best deal in town

Ciceros fills growlers of anything they tap, even KBS and the like. Little cheaper than bridge

Also Civil life fills 32oz growlers for 6.50 daily

And just to expound on the point for the OP, iTAP can't fill growlers due to state law. They don't sell food.

The law that is known as "the ciceros law"

No longer applicable, fortunately, with the recent change to 20 taps minimum. But the food requirement (50% of gross sales) remains for a place that is not a brewery of some sort.

And yeah, I recall the "Cicero's Law" event. Politics at its, um.... finest?

I just wish they'd change it so grocery stores or beer stores could have growler stations
