i will be staying in Shoreview from the Thursday to Monday of MLK weekend, my son will be skating in Roseville. On the rare occasion that i am in Minn. i always stop at Cellars to buy Surly and Boulevard to bring home with me. Abrasive will be around, also check out Indeed Day Tripper and Midnight Ryder. Not sure if they sell Steel Toe at Cellars, but they are also worth checking out.
I'd recommend Brau Bros barrel aged quad, Fulton Worthy Adversary and Olvalde Ode to a Russian Shipwright for some truely regional brews. If you want hops, see Abrasive above. Also score some Central Waters BBS or Kosmyk Charlie Y2K if you can find it.
Have you seen Brau Bros. Quad lately? I'd love to try it, but can't find it. CW stuff is getting pretty hard to come by. Barley John's brew pub is quite near Roseville. I hold the establishment in high regard.
I've seen Brau Bros quad at a bunch of places west of 494. In the loop may be harder to come by. And yes, CW seasonal stuff if getting sparse but still a few stragglers to be found
