I'm sad that the program doesn't include the brewer descriptions of the different beers this year. It really helps me to prioritize. Maybe there are more brewers than last year and descriptions would make the program too long to economically print...?

This has been a great festival in years past, which makes me think I'm just missing some awesome beers because I don't recognize the brew names (lots of breweries I'm familiar with though), but I'm just not as jazzed as I thought I'd be by this list. Usually, for example, Surly brings lots of stuff to festivals, but the list here is mostly things they have in cans (not that that's not good, but...), with the exception (I think) of Schadenfreude.

Totally open to being completely off-point though. What are the gems I'm missing?

Honestly, I would probably just be in the Town Hall line the entire time. Most of the beers (exception to the breweries that are not on the shelves yet) are things you can find on the shelves...

Last year, there were many more beers poured than posted at many booths, especially unique one-offs. Keep your eyes open!

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. And yes, I was planning on hanging out in the Town Hall line - delicious!

OK long shot, but if anyone is going to St. Paul Summer Beerfest, can you pick me up a tasting glass or two? Will trade beer.

Our friend's memorial service is that Saturday and we've been going since it started and would like to keep the collection going. Thanks guys.

I'm betting the line up will be much better than the program says. It usually is.

It was just a joke. There is a person on this site who throws a party every year in retaliation to the ever escalating price of the Saint Paul Beer Fest. Didn't mean to sound rude, was only kidding.

I heard he was sent from the future to protect the people in present from high prices.

I thought prices were the same as last year. I remember the tix only being $40

well I have plans for a tasting later this summer with something that should be pretty fun, will invite you for sure, after all the wonderful things you have put in my glass at other tastings, it is the least I can do.

Yawn...Steeltoe, Liftbridge, Mpls town Hall, Boom Island are the only ones on there that look good. That being said, I'm an Iowa native, and didn't have access to any of these, and have heard great things. Rest of the companies are bringing pretty average lineup, and nothing special.

I hope there are special pours that aren't listed for those in attendance though.I'll be closing/moving into my new house up here, so it's probably for the best the lineup looks average at best.

I'm pretty pissed still I missed the Goose Island tap takeover @Zombie Burger in Des Moines yesterday...killer lineup.
