Or so the label on the bottle I just picked up from Waitrose says. Personally I think it tastes maltier than it did before. Still okay, but not the radical change in flavour that I was hoping for. Anyone else tried it?

Not yet but I'll keep an eye out for it so thanks. St Peter's must be aware of the hoptastic trend and is probably trying to boost sales. In the past I always found their beers to be 'OK' but given how much my taste has changed in recent years they do very little for me now.

I'll have to give it a try. I've got a soft spot for St. Peter's as their cream stout (and Brooklyn Local 2) got me in to beer. I still pick up a cream stout or old-style porter every so often.

When I first moved to London in '02 I used to go to the Jerusalem once every 4 to 6 weeks.

That along with the Market Porter, the Wenlock and the Head of Steam (and a couple of Sam Smith pubs - the Cittie of Yorkie and Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese) were my regular haunts.

How times have changed and how spoilt we are in London these days for great venues!

Probably the same kind of thing as when food companies proclaim a "new improved recipe", referring to how they've found a way to make it for cheaper.

Their bottles are nicer than their beers :open_mouth: I found them a bit forgettable

Yeah, I had it a few months ago. Won't be buying it again.
