http://www.startribune.com/16-brewe...in-ultimate-minnesota-beer-bracket/506004471/ I've never voted on this. Just interesting to follow. I hit the re-fresh button if some stupid popups are there. Castle Danger was the champ last year. Schell's the year before.
Dang, 71% in favor of Bent Paddle over Steel Toe? Nothing against Bent Paddle, but I still really enjoy Steel Toe's regular lineup.
Bent Paddle has a much, much bigger distribution. If people have only had one, they're gonna vote for it
Not to mention Duluth and the Bent Paddle tap room are both "destination" places. Personally, I'd take Steel Toe over them myself but I wouldn't consider the industrial park where Steel Toe's tap room is located a destination and I live only about a mile from it, never mind comparing their distribution footprints.
I can see that and the distribution footprint, but if it were just beer vs beer, I'm going with Steel Toe all day.
My problem with steel toe is they never seem to do anything new..... although I am not at the taproom that often so I could be wrong
I think that is a pretty even matchup. Not sure which way I'd go. Probably Bent Paddle but that might be because that wonderful doppelbock is still fresh in my memory. Love the barrel aged Steel Toe beers. Also prefer their IPA's.
