Starbucks Cloud IPA

I thought this was about Starbucks starting to brew beer.

 

The choice is always to add lol.

 

Two shitty beverages fucking up one another.

 

Well, if Walmart is brewing their own line of "craft"(?) beer, why not McDonald's? The McIPA could become a thing.

 

If it's the Instagram-worthy (or whatever) "cloud effect" you're after, just pour a nitro. I'm sure it'd be a helluva lot cheaper than this.

BTW, anybody seen a price for this?

 

Looks like the brand name is purposely hidden in the photo at the Starbucks blog post:

suggesting that any IPA in stock will be used.

But maybe a PNW'er can ID the beer from the colors alone.

Gordon Bowker was a co-founder of both Starbucks and Red Hook Brewing Co., and RH brewed one of the earliest examples of beer w/coffee back in the mid-90s...

 

Looks like that can is Two Beers Brewing Evo IPA.

 

@Jaycase is correct, that is Two Beers. Could this be tied to the recent purchase via the cider wing of Two Beers?

Not sure if I would try this, But to the OP that Stone mocha IPA was really tasty.

 

As long as they put it in the traditional Starbucks cup....

 

Years ago, I was stationed over in Europe, and visited many countries...one stop on my travels (can't remember which country) I noticed that the McDonalds served beer...my buddies and I called it McSuds

 

Ear plugs and man bun straight out of Barista Central Casting

 

I can see it now, McIPA, Doritos Loco IPA, the possibilities...

 

I can only imagine that McIPA would be a dry hopped Bud light.

 

As a coffee lover and home roaster I can say I will pass. Starbucks represents everything I hate about large companies. They charge 6 bucks for a sugar drink and call it coffee and their coffee itself is terrible burnt junk. Now they are trying to suck into the beer scene with hopes of getting the hipsters who never drink beer to buy their brand of it, ha ha will pass on this one. I am waiting for the McIPA to pop up at McDonalds next.

I would love to know their price point on this, probably like $9 or more lol.

I have no idea how this will be, but you won't catch me jumping in a hate bandwagon because the name Starbucks is mentioned.

I also enjoyed the coffee cream ale "Regular Coffee" and SS Yirgachaffe from Carton as well as Bean Flicker from Odd Side and Hefe Cubano from Right Brain. Bring on more coffee non-stout or porter beers indeed!
