If the bottles are already spotlessly clean, then even a quick spray with Starsan will do...I think sub par cleaning (prior to the Starsan) is where a lot of the "cloudy" Starsan is coming from...but just a guess.

Yeah that was a grammar error. Meant to put if you don't mix with distilled water. Maybe it wasn't on the bottle but I read it somewhere. :slight_frown:

I had a batch that I used for about 5 or 6 batches, both in brewing and bottling, and while I can't say for sure, I have had no issues with contamination. I kept it in a spare keg between brews, with no issues.
I had to dump it when I moved recently, and didn;t feel like schlepping a keg full of starsan around.

It kind of depends on how you make it. RO or distilled water tend to hold up longer than tap water. Why? Ph and water chemistry come into play. I'm comfy using and reusing StarSan that's been created with RO from the grocery store. If I'm in a pinch, I'll use tap water and discard the StarSan after I'm done with whatever I'm doing that day. It's usually pretty hazy by that point.

I use a funnel and a bowl of Starsan for bottles. I fill a bottle halfway and shake it around like crazy. I submerge the tip of the bottle in the bowl after emptying to the next bottle. I spray lines and other things with a spray bottle during bottling day.
