The coffee part of FBS, which is the part that makes it special, drops off over time. I find it best fresh. One bottle might be worth experimenting with, though.

While I do love it fresh, I also really enjoy FBS with a little age on it. The coffee does fade, but I think it becomes a smoother beer.

    Looks good to me!

Does Jubel Ale hold up? Anyone?

+1 to drinking FBS now. If you want to start your cellar off with a bang, get your hands on some KBS. People are always trading it, and it hits annually. A friend of mine got 6 in a trade once, and it is amazing fresh, and aged. I have one sitting in my cellar now....just waiting.

Looks like a great start. Life and Limb is one of my favorites.

It holds up OK. I think more than a year would be pushing it.

    Excellent start there!

On the FBS it really depends what you're going for. The coffee is much stronger fresh but age makes it a smooth creamy chocolatey treat. I enjoy both.

We are most excited about the Cascade and Block 15.
