Starter questions

    Oh yes... I see it now. 1000L. That's a bit of a slightly large starter :rolling_eyes:

    I should mention that I use a 2000 mL flask with my stir starter.

    When I do lagers, I have a couple of 5000 mL flasks, 10 gallon batches. Lagers like big globs of yeast. They really do.

    Yeah even though I now have good temperature control (freezer w/ johnson controller), I'm sticking to ales for now. They are less work it seems, and I don't have a 5000 mL flask

    I make my lager starters (for 5 gallon batches, low to mid gravity) with a 2000 mL flask. Though sometimes that includes stepping up.
