I do plan on getting Sucaba cause i've never had it, and I enjoy firestone. But, this might be a stupid question. is it worth trading? on firestones site it seemed that they ship Sucaba all over?

yea and it's cool to me to get it, Even though I've been in to craft beer for years, I never went out of my way for special releases. So I've missed most, even from my area(cali). I'll probably buy at least 4 of Sucaba. Specially sense I called And I can get it 15 mins from my house.

Trading is not as hard or scary as you might think, as long as you're willing to spend the money and put in the time/effort.

And -- I didn't know this when I started -- if you make friends in the craft community (not like Shaun Hill or mordormongo or something; just "friends"), go to releases, and are generous with your own stuff, then you will be trying harder-to-find beers before you know it. Maybe not Dave or M, but certainly limited releases from around the country.

I like this, no one I know likes craft beer, besides the occasional buying of arrogant bastard...Not sure that counts. Really I guess local craft beer friends is a good start!

Don't be afraid to take a chance on a random member of the site; I've met some great people that way. Heck, if I didn't drive with two then-strangers to AB Zhukov over the summer, I would've never gotten to try (at least for a while) RareR DOS, King Henry, BA Speedway, and others.

Any suggestions for local beers to trade from the DE/MD/PA area that are hard to get outside of it? A lot of stuff I'd consider "local" has wide distribution anyhow. DFH is on both coasts, but is it harder to get WWS or 120 if you're further away? I was thinking Nugget Nectar would be a good opportunity but now I'm worried about shipping in the cold in February.
Any other suggestions? DuClaw, Evolution, Weyerbacher, Sixpoint, Allagash, Heavy Seas?
