Starting to develop your palate

    I've felt this way about hefeweizens. Review after review of bananas and cloves. If drinkers weren't told to expect these two flavors/aromas, I wonder how many would continue to notice/find that pair.

    You're palate will definitely develop, mature and change with the more beers you have/try and also as you get older! This goes with food as well imo

    I never tried to refine my palate. I don't care what kind of fruit (or whatever...) my beer tastes like, because it's not made of fruit. If I can't describe a beer in beer terms, I don't try until further educated. "Fruity", "floral","herbal", "bready", and other general descriptions are as detailed as I go.

    This is also why I don't write reviews.
